14K Villanelle Poem # 14 - Ring Nut Series David Angel Walking through the art fair, people watching Lo and behold, I ran into my kids My grandchildren just make me want to sing! I always stop and look at all the rings My grandkids said "Hey Zayde, make a bid!" Walking through the art fair, people watching Was 14 carat gold, I thought cha-ching! My ego in a duel with my id My grandchildren just make me want to sing! Appreciate the gifts the good Lord brings Sent up a little prayer, oh yes I did! Walking through the art fair, people watching Said “God, please send me money for some bling!” On spending, never learned to keep a lid My grandchildren just make me want to sing!
