The enemy will always win
Still must fight him to the end
Write as if your life depends
On every word which moves your pen

Accolades are meaningless
In the universal heart
Birds are singing, donkey’s braying
Say the things that needed saying

Horses neigh in fear at times
The headless horseman close behind
Death is birth and birth is death
Ignorance, our wilderness 

Triumph or disaster, same
Some folks really are this lame 
Offer me a simple choice 
Cloudless skies or pouring rain

Reaching for the right locution
Unlock the one true God’s name
Collecting words to outrun shame 
Shun the Reaper, serve Hashem

Cry to laugh; laugh to cry
Summer fading; hay ride time!
If you love your apple cart
Then don’t upset the apple cart!

Laugh ‘til laughter turns to tears
Burn the devil in his lair
God knows how long we are here
Pray for Jerusalem next year!

You know best, you always do
Interesting how very few
People know the real you
So proud you let me in:

You saved me from oblivion
