"Poet" - 

Gonna write an epic sestina about them tasty eggs!

Cici - 

You’re gonna write a six line poem of six stanzas plus a three line envoi & worry about endlessly rotating six end-words all to talk about twelve  multi-colored farm eggs we got yesterday?

Angel - 

Okay, a limerick then

Cici - 

Well, that’s going to the other extreme, Dave. Don’t let me dissuade you from writing a real poem

Angel - 

Pantoum maybe? I’ll just hatch a few quatrains. If I remember correctly, line 2 becomes line one of the next stanza, line 4 becomes line 3 of the next stanza and the final stanza reuses lines from the first stanza to close the circ…

You know, on third thought, I think I’m just gonna write an easy terza rima and call it a day because we’re out of coffee now - I only had 3 cups this morning

What’s a terza rima?

Angel - 

It’s a chain rhyme in tercets obviously 

ABA BCB CDC DED…

It usually ends with a single line or couplet to complete the chain. Iambic pentameter is pretty common but it's not required

Here goes…

There once was a dude from the city
No clue that his eggs tasted shitty
Till he drove by a hen, who clucked in her pen
and plopped a green egg from her kitty
