Quittin’ ( un día at a ) Time

A couple trips to Rome ago
Pitstop at my favorite store 
Casa del Habano
Memories of Fincato

Just before I gave up smokin’
No fumar más, I ain’t jokin’
I brought back fifty sticks
Monte Cristo number six 

Truthfully, they’re No. 2's
My humidor is very full 
I water them, oh yeah I do 
They talk to me, they sigh, they coo

It’s been almost a full three years 
Nary a day goes by, I leer 
At my Havanas, lovingly 
Nestled in shaved cedar tree

Will I ever smoke them up?
Will my demons stay at bay?
I don’t know, to be quite frank
So far, haven’t smoked today

I’ve strolled the Roman forum
Been in the Colosseum
All the tourist traps
The one thing I can tell you that

The best thing about Roma
My tobacconist from Heaven
The Sistine Chapel, a close second
Between the two, the Cubans beckon
