Copyright ©️ 2026, David Angel, All Rights Reserved PoetNote - Used to be I would patiently explain to people who couldn't fathom Trump-speak how he thinks fast and talks in shorthand, and is often right on the money / over the target while at the same time being technically (or argubly) inaccurate. An example was saying the Democrats "spied" on his campaign, and the Left mocking him for it as if it were the most outrageous of ficitional claims, and then when it was shown that they spied like crazy on Trump and his administration, the Left resorted to parsing and misrepresenting words and outright lying their commie red asses off to bolster their false claims. Fast forward to the war - conflict - adventure - whatever in Iran, and I became at a loss to explain how Trump could say we got 81 percent of their missles one day and Rubio would say 50 percent the next day and how we could be so close to a deal to settle the war ten or so different times and how a cease-fire could mean the opposite of a ceasefire. Ultimately, if you have ears and a brain and are capable of honesty, you have to acknowledge that Trump is making less than truthful statements in public forums, and then a good questions is why? I've heard several explanations including: 1. Keep the enemy off guard - strategic ambiguity - the Art of War 2. Telegraph to his buddies when they should go long on oil futures and short the market and when to unwind positions 3. Keep the price of oil under $100/barrel by talking it down - giving the market a strategic dose of false hope now and then 4. Senility, incompetence, desperation, delusion of grandeur... I like 1 & 3 best but I don't pretend to know. They don't assume the worst. Trump's opponents, being leftists / former liberals, do of course know and they do assume the worst and they would reflexively say it's obviously 2 & 4. They know they are right despite having no inside information and no capacity for rational thought on the subject of their orange nemesis. There is one thing I do know and I'm sure Trump knows it too - there never was and never will be a good faith negotiation with terrorists. He has given himself and the USA more than enough cover for the ensuing attack on Iran. We will either beat the IRGC in Iran to submission or we will not. Ideally, we will succeed through financial pressure without another extensive military campaign, but that's looking pretty iffy at the moment because it looks like we are in the process of more "self-defense" with you know... bombs... self-defensive bombs... the nice kind... love tap bombs In the final analysis, if you want to be honest, you have to give Trump credit for trying to prevent evil genocidal terrorists from acquiring nuclear weapons, and for giving diplomacy every chance in the world before we have to shut them down through the only language evil people ever understand - force. One uses one's enemy outside to keep order in his house. Maybe in that sense, one's enemy is his ally, especially if his own people could turn on him anytime. So the question is: does one's enemy's evilness condone one's own evilness?
"God Help Us~~" Amen.
