Yom Kippur Countdown

Bike ride just to pass the time
Stomach loud, no pantomime
Growling hard since four pm
Sun's still too high - please set man!

No food since my friggin' lunch
Cheated but I had a hunch
God has better things to do
Than count fast hours for hungry Jews

Rode on past the Christ Church sign
"Don't Worry, God's Here All the Time"
-except when that tornado
picked you up and it was fatal

(I get cranky when I'm hungry)
